My Story
My love for property started long before I ever worked in the industry. I was that person glued to renovation shows, scrolling property listings for fun and running the numbers on “what if” scenarios. But it wasn’t until I bought my first investment property, on minimum wage, in a small regional town two hours from Brisbane, that I realised how powerful property could be. You don’t need to be wealthy to get started. You just need the right strategy, guidance and mindset.

As I moved into the property development space, sourcing and analysing sites for small-to-medium developers, I learned the mechanics of due diligence, feasibility, and negotiation, essentially the bulk of what a great buyers’ agent does. I loved the strategy, the problem-solving and the creativity...
But I also saw the darker side of the industry: greed, pressure tactics, and good people being taken advantage of.
I saw courses charging tens of thousands for seriously low level information you could find elsewhere, ‘mentors’ preying on people’s dreams, Buyers’ agents pushing risky “hotspot” properties or taking developer commissions behind the scenes.

It didn’t sit right with me. Property is one of the most powerful wealth-building tools available, yet too many people are being misled or held back by fear and confusion. I wanted to create something that truly served investors… something that prioritised integrity over ego and outcomes over sales.

That’s how MELIA Property was born - I wanted to build a buyers’ agency built on honesty, education and strategic thinking.
